2009 Wings & Wheels Display Day

After at least 6 months of heavy planning and countless efforts by Petaluma Area Pilots Association members, families, and friends the first annual Classic Wings & Wheels show took place July 18th. We had more than 50 classic planes and more than 50 classic cars for folks to get up close with and talk to owners and crew. Various county and community agencies also had information booths at the event, and pretty much all state, local, and federal services aircraft and vehicles made appearances, too. We had good attendence, which will likely grow with future shows and all-in-all it was a fun, successful event. Admission was free, with concession stands and donation stands available -- proceeds to benefit the PAPA Scholarship Fund. More info about PAPA can be found at http://www.papapetaluma.org.
